Summary Description:

The Program Manager works closely with the Account Director and is responsible for the overall program for one or more clients. The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation and oversight for multiple projects and ensuring the day-to-day client commitments and goals of Ardent.

In This Role You Will:

  • Work closely with Account Directors to decide on suitable strategies and objectives to accomplish engagement goals
  • Develop, oversee and maintain detailed program plans (collection of projects) to monitor and track progress of Ardent engagements, ensuring client specifications and deadlines are met      
  • Push to stay ahead of the client and project team by always staying on top of what's on the horizon for the engagement/program - ensuring alignment and resource ownership with the Ardent Team and Client on current and upcoming tasks/milestones
  • Engage with Ardent's Solutions Team as appropriate to solve client challenges 
  • Lead and develop Project Managers
  • Continuously ensure appropriate staffing levels exist on program between internal staff and contractors
  • Apply change, risk and resource management on engagements/programs
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI for the client
  • Identify and resolve projects’ higher scope issues
  • May directly manage projects and/or direct the work of Project Managers                                                                                                                                                                             
  • In conjunction with Project Managers on the team, develop, maintain, and monitor progress reports, project plans, timelines and budgets with focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction — speaking up when deliverables are not in alignment with Ardent standards                               
  • Above all, monitor the health of the client relationship through proactive communication
  • Oversee design, development, and production of projects to ensure client specifications and deadlines are met
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor progress reports, project plans, timelines and budgets with focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
  • Manage all project documentation in accordance to Box protocol and process
  • Responsible for overall project communications including handling project challenges with internal and client teams including remediating any challenges faced by client or internal teams  
  • When appropriate, and alongside the Account Director, start conversations with clients concerning additional Ardent offerings      
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a project manager
  • 3+ years’ experience in People Management
  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Learning & development industry experience preferred
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAMP) preferred
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in project management software tools

  • Theoretical and practical program management knowledge
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets

  • High competence in project and stakeholder management
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Proven track record for successful delivery of programs and working cross-functionally with business and information systems/technology
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with ability to influence and motivate project team members that report to other groups in the organization
  • Experience with large interconnected systems and processes, including complex integrations between multiple third party and internal systems
  • Ability to be flexible in diving into project detail when necessary, while keeping the overall picture in mind
  • Demonstrated ability to be responsive with both verbal and written communication, while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
