Automotive Service Facilitator, Eastern Region

New York, United States Contract Allows remote

Ardent Learning is looking for a proven Facilitator/Consultant professional to join our tier-one automotive client team and provide dedicated focus to consulting and delivering content in dealerships and regional venues. We are seeking someone to cover our Eastern region; the ideal candidate must currently reside in/around one of the following areas: Mid-Atlantic, Tri-State, or Northeast. Please note: this is a long-term contract opportunity.   

Knowledge-Based Requirements

Industry Specific:

  • Standard dealership fixed operations practices, processes and procedures, i.e. financial statement analysis, DMS, online scheduling tools, multi-point inspection, sales/marketing, etc.
  • Industry-based customer satisfaction and product quality indicators, i.e. key elements, composition, cycles, etc.
  • Knowledge of key service personnel positions, functions and practices, i.e. service department greeters, service advisors, parts counter personnel, service and parts managers, etc.
  • Knowledge of key OEM personnel positions, functions and practices, i.e. region structure, dealer networks, corporate structure

Business Management:

  • Budget management, i.e. development, inspection and reporting as it relates to your expenses
  • Application of information systems, i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, iOS or Android operating systems, dealership management systems such as ADP, Reynolds and Reynolds, etc.
  • Process and quality management practices, i.e. standard project process management, adherence to ISO standards, etc.

Project Specific:

  • Adult learning theory and practice, i.e. instructional design, performance-based objectives, measurement, evaluation, etc.
  • Technical tools and applications, i.e. mobile applications, web-based instruction, dealership tools such as Xtime online scheduling system, ServiceSmarts®, etc.
  • ILT applications, i.e. principles, practices, evaluation methods, etc.

Skills-Based Requirements

Analytical Skills:

  • Read and analyze standard dealership fixed operations financial statements
  • Assess (and recommend improvement strategies) for automotive dealership fixed operations processes and practices including development, deployment, and reporting of needs assessments and gap analyses
  • Recognize and leverage key elements within a variety of dealer tools, i.e. Reynolds and Reynolds and other DMS, scheduling tools, dealer performance tools, etc.
  • Read, interpret and make training material content recommendations (and in-dealer consultation services) based upon JDP and Nissan proprietary customer satisfaction indicators
  • Assess and prescribe improvement strategies for field operations training materials
  • Assess internal (Ardent) work flow processes and recommend performance improvement initiatives

Process-Based Skills:

  • Leadership practices, i.e. communicating, planning, inspiring and motivating
  • Management practices, i.e. organizing, evaluating, coaching/counseling and directing
  • Operational practices, i.e. budget cycle performance, project timeline, product quality, office efficiency, etc.

Consulting/Communication-Based Skills:

  • Utilize core communication skills (listing, probing, affirming and persuasion) to uncover key customer requirements and opportunities and to implement recommended solutions
  • Writing, i.e. reports, summaries, etc.
  • Oral, i.e. communicate complex concepts and technical applications of learning strategies and practices, integrate team needs with client team needs, manage conflict, etc.
  • Group presentations, i.e. organization of materials, application of visual tools, basic presentations, board room discussions, etc.
