Graphic Designer (Contract)

Los Angeles, California, United States Contract Allows remote

We are seeking Freelance Creative Talent with the following skillsets to join our growing contractor pool:

  • Adobe InDesign Layout & Formatting
  • Storyline & Rise 360 e-Learning Design
  • After Effects Motion Graphics Animation
  • Interactive Design
  • PowerPoint Design & Formatting

These positions are temporary (contract) roles with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed; work can be done remotely with personal equipment and software.

Adobe InDesign Layout & Formatting:

  • Create multi-page documents that will be printed with various types of binding (saddle-stitched, perfect bound, wire-O, etc.)
  • Create multi-page documents that will be delivered as PDFs for digital distribution
  • Create multi-page, interactive PDFs for digital distribution
  • Create brochures, posters, cards and signage
  • Have a high-level of expertise with InDesign formatting, with advanced knowledge of paragraph and character styles, master pages, interactive features, etc.

Storyline & Rise 360 e-Learning Design:

  • Develop Storyline 360 modules, with interactivity levels that range from basic (i.e. static text and images on screen) to advanced (i.e. multi-part, branching simulation activities)
  • Develop Rise 360 modules that take advantage of all text, image, layout, interactive, and multimedia features offered by Rise
  • Have a high-level of expertise with Storyline, with advanced knowledge that includes but is not limited to slide design, interactivity, animation, triggers, slide masters, states, assessments, etc.

After Effects Motion Graphics Animation:

  • Develop motion graphics animation using a combination of visual elements such as text, photography, icons, illustration, and video footage
  • Develop 2D, character-based explainer videos, incorporating elements such as walk cycles and natural character movement
  • Create technical and/or software-based tutorial videos, highlighting elements of a user interface, showing how to use key features and functions, etc.
  • Create title screen and lower-thirds style graphics to be incorporated with live-action video footage
  • Have a high-level of expertise with After Effects, with advanced knowledge that includes but is not limited to keyframes, easing, graph editing, puppet tools, composition structure, text animation, etc.

Interactive Design:

  • Create flat design comps created in Photoshop or Adobe XD for interactive design such as responsive websites, mobile apps, e-learning, etc.
  • Create interactive prototypes for any of the above-mentioned examples
  • Have a high-level of expertise with UI design tools such as Photoshop, XD, Invision, etc.
  • Advanced UI design skills, including but not limited to responsive design, typography, purposeful motion, button design, call-to-actions, etc.

PowerPoint Design & Formatting:

  • Create well-designed PPT decks for use in instructor-led training sessions as well as capability presentations
  • Have a high-level of expertise with PowerPoint formatting, with advanced knowledge that includes but is not limited to slide masters, text and image formatting, animations and slide transitions, notes view, etc.

You’ve got what it takes if you have:

  • Flexible hours (able to work both East Coast and West Coast hours) and are deadline orientated
  • Ability to create work that reflects the look and feel of different clients, adhering to brand guidelines for use of fonts, color, logos, etc.
  • High comfort level with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to work within a pre-existing templates, making new adaptations as needed to fit specific content
  • Ability to create new template sets that are easily re-usable, adhere to the brand guidelines of different clients, and follow template design best practices
  • Strong graphic design skills in the areas of typography, color, layout, and use of imagery
